This was my introduction to most of the basics of textiles including crochet, knit, construction, print and embroidery. These works were a culmination of my first year stepping into a personal art style and form of communication. I utilised the techniques as best as I could to build upon some of the narrative that I was drawn to and speak on the growing importance of coming into my identity.
I came up with the 'warped' idea from some sketches I had made earlier on in the year and had reworked these in to the pieces I submitted.
Unfortunately, this project taught me that I was not made for the strict, commercial focus of Textiles Design for Interiors and later switched to creative arts.
