Living in Tranfixtions

Welcome to the introduction to my original narrative- featuring Clementine, my self-referenced main character. Chapter 6, The House Hold Its Breath is the focus of this project. It looks at the big moment of transformation that happens to Clementine in the second act. I created a full sized sculpture of her using chicken wire and handsewn patchwork fabrics; each limb at half competition to show her crossing into a Familiar state. Her creation is the start of my exploration of this fictional world, with which I hope to expand into a series of artworks to accompany the eventual novel...
Alongside the sculpture, was the creation of my oil pastel collage zines. From an emotional exercise in free sketches, came a vibrant arrangement of words, shapes and colours to process death, change and impermanence.
